The flagship Reactions North America Re/Insurance Conference is now in its sixth year, and in 2014 we will once again be welcoming a whole host of industry luminaries to speak at the event.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Adapting to a Changing Landscape’, and will include discussions on the myriad challenges currently facing both the insurance and reinsurance industries, as well as some of the opportunities that have presented themselves to the market and others that may arise.
Other topics that will be discussed during the day include regulation, the growth of the specialty lines space and innovation, both from a technological viewpoint and the type of products that are desired by large US corporates.
And Reactions has secured some of the biggest names in the US re/insurance market to speak at the event. Kevin Kelley, the chief executive of Ironshore, will open the event with a keynote address. With his company expected to undergo an initial public offering shortly, as well as recently seeing Shanghai-based private equity conglomerate Fosun International buy a 20% stake in the Bermuda-based specialty commercial non-life insurer, his opening speech is sure to capture the audience’s attention.
Other speakers include David Sampson, president and chief executive of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America; Harry Klecan Jr, president and chief executive for the Americas of Scor Reinsurance Company; Anthony Kuczinski, president and chief executive of Munich Re America; James Few, Aspen Re’s chief executive; Rod Fox, the chief executive of Tiger Risk; Watford Re’s chief executive John Rathgeber and Nicolas Papadopoulo, the president and chief executive of Arch Re.
Following on from the North America Re/Insurance Conference, Reactions will be hosting its annual gala awards dinner on the evening of September 23. Once again taking place at the Cipriani Club on Wall Street, this year’s event will see Reactions honour those individuals and companies who have stood out in the North American and Bermudian re/insurance markets over the past year.
