AEGIS London has hired Gregory Abel and Thomas Farrell as non-executive directors to its board. Gregory Abel is vice chairman, Non-Insurance Business Operations, Berkshire Hathaway and executive chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Energy. Berkshire Hathaway and its subsidiaries operate in insurance and reinsurance, utilities and energy, freight rail transportation, finance, manufacturing, services and retailing. Berkshire Hathaway Energy is a diversified global holding company that owns subsidiaries principally engaged in energy businesses in the United States, Canada, Great Britain and the Philippines. Abel also holds board positions with AEGIS London's parent - AEGIS Insurance Services in the US, the Kraft Heinz Company and a range of energy businesses. Thomas Farrell is chairman, president and CEO of Virginia-based Dominion Energy. Dominion Energy is one of the US's largest producers and transporters of energy with $75 billion of assets providing electric generation, transmission and distribution, as well as natural gas storage, transmission, distribution, and import/export services. It is also one of the US's leading solar operators.
