Hurricane Willa bears down on Mexico

Hurricane Willa has become the latest major storm to threaten North America, with Mexico set to be impacted by the rapidly strengthening storm. As the east coast of the US recovers from Hurricanes Michael and Florence, Mexico’s west coast is expected to take the brunt of Willa, with Texas also likely to be impacted by riverine flooding. The storm is expected to weaken to either a Category 3 or 4 and make landfall in a rural area according to JLT Re. Willa is currently a Category 5 storm, with wind speeds currently around 160mph (260 kph) according to JLt Re.
